Non-Chinese visitors can register via e-Government stations

City officials recently announced that non-Chinese citizens can now use Xiamen's e-Government network of service stations to register their place of accommodation when visiting Xiamen and staying in places other than local hotels and guesthouses.　　　 

The new program began on December 9 after months of research and development. The process replaces the need for non-citizens to register at local police stations within 24 hours of entry.　　　 

There are currently more than 400 e-Government service stations in Xiamen. The stations are located at local convenience stores, city and district government service centers and police
