Xiamen named one of China's ten most livable cities

National Bureau of Statistics recently included Xiamen as one of China's ten most livable cities. The assessment was part of the entity's  China Beautiful Life Cities assessment.

The rankings included more than 20 satisfaction indicators related to city governance and social services.

The city surpassed the national average by more than three percentage points in the healthcare services, legal environment and education categories.

Xiamen made significant annual progress in six categories. Resident satisfaction in the categories of parks/green spaces and legal environment increased by more than seven percentage points.

Xiamen also fared well in areas such as convenience of life and government efficiency.

Assessed levels of happiness in Xiamen are among the highest in the country, exceeding the national average by 14 percentage points.
