Recent data from Xiamen’s cultural tourism market indicate an upcoming surge in family-based tourism tied to this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday, which coincides with Children’s Day. Xiamen's cultural tourism market show has cracked the top 10 domestic destinations for family travel.

According to Ctrip, Xiamen's hotel bookings during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday rose by 11 percent, with most visitors coming from Shanghai and Beijing. This year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday falls well before final exams and aligns with Children's Day on June 1, boosting demand for family trips.

Family trips are expected to drive tourism spending during the holiday. According to Tuniu's data, nearly 40 percent of group travelers during the festival will be families with children. Cultural experiences and rural farm stays are particularly popular among families.
