Visa-free China travel expands to all Gulf Cooperation Council countries

China now offers a trial visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia, four of six Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The trial program runs through June 8, 2026. Eligible travelers can enter China without a visa for business or tourism, to visit relatives and friends or to participate in exchange visits for up to 30 days. 

The expansion of the trial program means that all ordinary passport holders from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are now eligible for visa-free travel.
