Xiamen exports up 10 percent through July

Local customs officials reported that Xiamen's foreign trade import and export volume reached 542.4 billion yuan (up 1.8 percent year-on-year) in the first seven months of this year. Exports jumped 10 percent to a total of 305.8 billion yuan, outpacing national and provincial growth rates.

In July alone, the city's foreign trade import and export volume topped 85.2 billion yuan, up 9.4 percent year-on-year and the highest growth rate in a single month this year. Exports in July amounted to 53.1 billion yuan, up 21.1 percent.
