Xiamen was honored with the "Most Influential Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) Destination" award at the 17th China Meetings Industry Conference (CMIC), standing out among numerous competing destinations thanks to its well-developed exhibition infrastructure, professional service support system, and unique "MICE plus" development strategy.
In a related recognition, the Xiamen International Expo Center was honored as a "Digitally Smart Convention and Exhibition Center".
Organizing a delegation of dozens of leaders from various venues, conference organizers, and exhibition enterprises, Xiamen presented a dedicated "Xiamen Pavilion". Continuing with the theme "A Charming MICE Destination", the pavilion showcased the city's strengths as an "International MICE City" and "MICE-friendly Destination", highlighting its premium resources and comprehensive service capabilities.
This year, Xiamen introduced the "Measures to Further Promote the Development of the MICE Industry" to elevate the sector to a more international, branded, professional, and market-oriented level. Official statistics show a robust event calendar, with 136 exhibitions and 3,135 conferences held in the city during the first three quarters of the year.
