Xiamen FTZ unveils 10 new “Nationwide Firsts”

Fujian's Free Trade Zone Office recently released evaluation results for the 22nd batch of innovative measures, with Xiamen FTZ contributing 17 ones—10 of which were assessed by third-party institutions as “nationwide firsts”. The pioneering reforms include: launching China's first maritime transport “single window”, a new inspection model for high-tech firms importing equipment/key materials, smart supervision for lithium battery export packaging, a dual-upgraded duty payment system for inbound/outbound postal items, an integrated payment solution for Taiwan compatriots, a standardized export mechanism for ultra-heavy energy storage containers, a ticket refund guarantee pilot for Xiamen-Kinmen ferry routes, mixed-use land development models, one-stop online processing for sole proprietorship-to-enterprise conversions, and fully digitalized second-hand home transactions. The remaining 7 measures were replicated or expanded from existing practices. Over the past decade since its establishment, Xiamen FTZ has championed trailblazing reforms, serving as a national testing ground with 654 innovations—163 of which were domestic breakthroughs.
